When is a piece of furniture

a piece of art?

Upon purchasing the hotel/motel which is now Gold-RoX Galerie, we inherited a sizeable number of quality wooden restaurant chairs. Not knowing what to do with them they were put aside until inspiration struck.

When that fateful day arrived it was obvious that these 'thrones' would be upcycled to works of unique art or Art Chairs if you like?

As you can see in the featured pictures the end result is quite stunning.

Each chair has had 8-10 hours of preparation which includes extreme sanding and then a unique stylized paint job. No two chairs are the same.

B.A. and Ulriky don't really consider the finished products as actual seats, more a stand alone piece of art!
